Did you like it?
This map is free, with no account, no ads and no tracking. That is no accident: it is made by people who are building a whole set of services with the same rules. If this one was useful to you, the others probably concern you too.
TousEnsembles, the citizen network
This is where the map comes from. A French citizen network, ethical and ecological, made for citizens and not for advertisers.
What you will not find there
- No pile-ons possible. Nobody can comment on your posts: an interaction is asked for, and can be refused.
- No popularity counter, no race for reactions.
- No notifications to remind you to come back.
- No advertising, no trackers.
What you will find there
- The Agora: public debate, with arguments, where people answer each other instead of shouting at each other.
- Bringing people together: neighbours, mutual help, projects, people to meet for real.
- Citizen governance: a cooperative company, moderation by the community.
- Encrypted messaging, end to end.
And also, made by the same people
-
Socialmail — opening soon (in French)
Your name, and nobody else can have it. A French email address for one euro a month, with no advertising, no profiling and no identity document asked for. An address you pay for has no need to sell you.
opening soon price reserved for the first to join
-
A search engine (in French)
Search the web without being followed, with no advertising profile and no results sold to the highest bidder. Free, nothing to install.
-
DNSLibre (in French)
Sovereign DNS filtering for the family: block advertising and unwanted content on every device in the house, with no software to install on each one.
-
The whole galaxy (in French)
The map of the whole ecosystem, service by service, with what each one does and why it exists.
Why it is free
This map costs you nothing and asks you for nothing: no account, no address, no consent to click. It is made with public data — IGN, OpenStreetMap, French state services — and hosted on a server in France.
What pays for it is the paid services of the same set — first of all Socialmail (in French), which is opening soon. That is the model: those who pay one euro a month for their address make it possible for everything else to be given to those passing by. An address you pay for has no need to sell anyone.
